Distracted Driving Digital Campaign

The Challenge

Drivers who are distracted by cell phones are eight times more likely to get into a crash than undistracted drivers (NHTSA). Distracted driving—texting, social scrolling, eating, adjusting the radio or climate controls—is still a primary reason for crashes in Utah.

The Solution

Because April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, this campaign was geared to reach drivers with the message, “When you drive, drive.” Put the phone down and drive focused. Enforcement week was kicked off with a press event and social videos and digital outdoor was used to reach drivers.
